Authentic Friends are Mirrors to Your Own Ascension

I am a mirror.

In true Mintakan form, I, like an azure glass, reflect the sunniest parts of who you are – but I also reveal the darkest depths of your existence.

I force you to reevaluate your identity.

I force you to reexamine the life you have lived thus far and how true, Aligned, meaningful, and joyful it actually is.

I force you to expose to yourself where you might fall short. I appear to you as your competition in life and living, but the truth is that you’re just in competition with yourself (I am not running the race of your life path). You see – in me – who and what you want in life, and then believe me to be a challenge to achieving it. This is the ego who is lying to you. I am merely exposing you to the best version of yourself.

I am honest, straight-forward, and do not sugarcoat when you can do better because I believe in you, and know you can do better. It’s not to hurt you, make you mad, make you think I am judging you. I want you to live your very best life. You deserve that; we all deserve that.

I show you what joy looks like, and you can either use that as fuel to chase your own joys or resent me for it; that choice is yours to make.

I unmask you entirely, and this obliges you to look at who you are and what performance is no longer worth playing.

A mirror is the exact type of friend you need on the path to Ascension because you can’t hide from yourself. When you surround yourself only with people who tell you want you want to hear, you lose the ability to have authentic self-reflection. I hold up the glass with strength and have your hand through it all.

Whether you take it is up to you and how dedicated you are to living an authentic life – and if you run, I certainly won’t chase you down.
